Fibre optic cables are typically installed for backbone applications to link satellite cabinets to the main server rooms. By utilising fibre optic cabling you greatly increase the speed and distance that your network traffic can travel and you also increase the bandwidth available which is vitally important with the bandwidth hungry applications in use today such as VoIP, IP Security (Access Control & Surveillance) and managed services/applications. Our experienced engineers can install singlemode & multimode fibre optic cabling and all testing is carried out using the latest Noyes OTDR. Results are provided to our customers in soft format with a copy of the software used to view the results. Results can be printed and provided in hard copy upon request. Termination is normally carried out using the AMP Lightcrimp Plus connector, a small pre-polished connector which is crimped onto the fibre cable. Termination by fusion splice is also available upon request.
